This Friday night, the Supers, Limited Sportsman, and Wildcats will hope to make up one of the many rained out events on the season.
The Pepsi Limited Sportsman put on a show last week in their 40-lap special event as David Greenslit was able to take the lead on Lap 7 from 2016 track champion Scott Vien and survived 5 different restarts to pick up his first win of the season and 30th of his racing career. He also became the 7th different winner in 9 events. Joe Tetreault finished 2nd after patiently working his way through the field, while Vien finished 3rd. The “Polish Prince” Tyler Janovsky was able to extend his point lead to 27 points over “Hot Stuff” Kenny Thompson as Thompson finished 10th after having to retire to the pits on Lap 27.
The T-Bird Mini Mart Wildcats have turned into the Zach Lyn show as he took the lead on Lap 4 and never looked back to pick up his 3rd win of the season and his 2nd in a row. He was also able to extend his point lead over Dale “Slingshot” Squires Jr. to 32 points. Squires Jr. finished 3rd just behind 2016 track champion Kodi Sabins who came home 2nd.
The R.E. Hinkley Super Streets had a crash-filled event as 9 cautions, a couple of disqualifications, and twisted sheet metal highlighted the race but when the dust settled, Dylan Bodreau became the 8th different winner in 9 races. Ryan Currier posted his career-best finish with a 2nd and rookie Craig Smith finished 3rd. The top 4 drivers are separated by only 15 points in the NCWRS Point Standings.
